In recent times the news has been awash with stories of the rift between Chief Matthew Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The climax of this battle at the moment is the sacking of Olagunsoye Oyinlola (an Obasanjo man) by Bamanga Tukur (a Jonathan man).
The major reason behind this rift is no doubt the 2015 elections. The million dollar question is this: who is going to bow first?
The answer to this question is going to be premised on who needs the other person more. Another possibility is a stalemate or they find out that they do not really need each other and go their separate ways.
Which ever way things turn out, the reality on ground is that the 2015 elections would be influenced by the relationship between President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Only time would tell.
