President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan accused Nigerians as being the cause of Nigeria’s problems. He said that corruption was not the cause of Nigeria’s problems but that the attitude of Nigerians was the real cause of Nigeria’s problems.
If one would go with this position, it becomes imperative for discerning minds in Nigeria to ask the question: “Who [or what] is really responsible for Nigeria’s woes, and how did we get here?” “Is it the Nigerian ruling class or the masses of Nigeria?”
Who created and nurtured the atmosphere of corruption [that has led to the bad attitude (according to Jonathan) of Nigerians]; the atmosphere of corruption that has ravaged our country. Oh, so now that they (the Nigerian ruling class) realize and probably want to accept the fact that they are corrupt and are the embodiment of corruption, they are looking for where else to let the blame [of Nigeria’s woes] rest instead of at their feet and doorsteps. Now, corruption is not or maybe no more the problem with Nigeria?
KontriPipu wetin you say? Abeg make we dey objective, open and honest in our responses to this issue.
