WHAT IS THE TRUE STATE OF THESE FOLKS?

The release of a picture on the internet of the Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai with his wife and their newly born twins has generated a lot of ripples in the polity. Questions are being asked, and accusations and counter-accusations are being made. The reality on ground remains that the people of Taraba State, in particular, and Nigeria, in general, have been kept in the dark by people who were not duly elected the people. In proper societies, once a person becomes a public official, he/she is subject to public scrutiny.
For instance, when Nelson Mandela was in the Hospital recently, it was public knowledge; and the exact type of illness affecting him, the state of his health at every point in time, and the hospital he was in, were all in public knowledge.
But the Nigerian scenario usually paints an awkwardly different picture. Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has been and is still MIA (missing in action). Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State who left the country last year on health leave is yet to return, and nothing has been heard about him. All that is known to the public is that he was operated upon for a kidney ailment. These folks who we call our leaders should stop taking us for granted and start becoming more responsive to the people and tell us the truth.
It is high time these leaders who have held the people hostage be prosecuted for criminal conspiracy or even treason! Misleading the very people that elected them to office to serve, for their own selfish agenda, is highly criminal.
We did not vote these people in (wait a minute… did we actually vote these ones in or they found their way in there somehow?) for them to leave the state, talk less of the country, with state matters unattended to, and without us knowing their true whereabouts and the situation of things with them.
