THE RESTORATION OF IBADAN

'Ajumose' in a nutshell means people working together to achieve a common goal. Senator Ajimobi, the Executive Governor of Oyo State has started a campaign to Lagosialize (ah ah, I just form that word now now o, I'm sure Fashola will be grinning and happy with me like this) or beautify Ibadan. He is doing so at the expense of honest (I hope) and hardworking citizens of Ibadan, by breaking down the shops they use to do their businesses.

The plan to modernize the city of Ibadan is a welcomed development. But there should be a provision for those who were affected by the demolition. Thus, we hope that the move to relocate the displaced shop owners and market people come to fruition.
The guy, erm, sorry, I mean Governor, harsh no be small oh. Na the Christmas time wey kontripipu go wan buy buy na when he come vex start to dey demolish kontripipu shops. It is as if the Ajumose is between him, his cabinet, Youth Empowerment Scheme of Oyo State Government (YES-O) and Operation Burst.
Nawa ooh.
But these demolitions are not only in Oyo State oh. Senator Ibikunle Amosun is demolishing in Ogun State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi is demolishing in Ekiti State, Rauf Aregbesola is demolishing in Osun State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko is demolishing in Ondo State, and it is not news that Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, has always demolished in Lagos State. What is happening in the South-West of Nigeria? What are these Governors up to? Hmmm. We keep our fingers crossed.
KontriMan will take a tour of the Federation so as to ensure that there is objectivity on our take on the demolitions happening around. KontriMan would also appreciate our readers to contribute to the 'demolition chronicle'.
